On February 3,4,5,10,11,and 12 we are selling concessions for the “Happy Days.” show in McConnell Hall. This is going to be a fundraiser for our spring and summer events so all youth are encouraged to serve. We are also in need of parents to help coordinate and/or serve. If you are interested, let us know which date(s) you prefer to serve and plan on being at the church by 6:30 to set up (1:30 for Sunday show).

    On Friday, January 20 – Sunday, January 22, we will be attending the Midwinter Advance at America’s Keswick Retreat Center in Whiting, NJ. Students who are attending will need to be at the church by 6:00pm. We will stop briefly along the way to eat and should arrive at Keswick by 8:00pm. Students can be picked up at the church on Sunday at 1:30pm (No Realville on Sunday night).

    All Gateway South District youth are invited to attend their first event which will be January 14-15. We will meet at the Audubon UMC (314 W. Graisbury Ave. Audubon) at 8:00 PM for games, devotions, and volleyball. At around 11:00 PM we will travel to 30 Strikes Bowling Alley (501 S. White Horse Pk. Stratford) to bowl for two hours, then travel to the Stratford United Methodist Church (122 Union Ave. Stratford) for the rest of the night. On Saturday, we will travel to Voorhees in the morning for the District Day of Learning where there will be a workshop specifically for youth. We will return to Mantua UMC by 11:15am.

    The cost for the event is $15.00 per person, which includes snacks, bowling, and breakfast. There will be snacks for purchase at the bowling alley, so bring money for that as well.

    On Thursday, December 30, the Realville Sk8Park will travel to the Black Diamond Skate Park inside Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, PA. We will meet at the Mantua UMC parking lot at 10:00am, travel by van to the park, and return by 4:00pm. The cost for an all day session is $20. You will need to bring your helmet, board, and money for admission and lunch.

    If you are interested in coming, you will need to complete the 2 attached release forms which are required by the park and must be signed by a notary public. You will also need to have a parent permission form and medical release form that is required by the church. To download the forms, click the links below.

    On Wednesday, December 22, we will be taking a break from our regularly scheduled Bible study to sing Christmas carols at various church members’ homes. We will meet at the church parking lot at 7:00pm and return by 8:30pm. Hot chocolate will be provided, but dress warm and bring a flashlight to read the carols.     On Sunday, December 19, we will have our Realville Christmas Party from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Join us as we eat Christmas cookies, listen to Christmas tunes, play Christmas games, and exhange Christmas gifts. This year, we are doing a white elephant gift exchange, so bring a gently used gift to exchange.

    On Saturday, December 18, we will head to RiverRink at Penn’s Landng for an evening of ice skating under the stars. We will meet in the church parking lot at 5:00pm, travel by van to the rink, and return by 9:00pm. The cost for admission is $8 plus $3 for skate rental. This event is also open to parents and siblings and Realville alumni. If you are interested in going, you will need to pick up a form outside the youth room or download the Ice Skating Trip Permission Form. If you do not have a medical release form on file for the youth group, you will need to complete one in order to go on the trip.
